Oncoplastic procedures blend oncological surgery with plastic surgery techniques to treat breast cancer while preserving or restoring the breast’s appearance. This innovative approach is designed to remove cancerous tissue effectively while maintaining breast symmetry and contour. Every patient’s experience with oncoplastic surgery is unique, with techniques tailored to factors such as tumor size, location, and breast shape. Common approaches include reshaping the breast using tissue rearrangement, reduction, or augmentation, often accompanied by procedures on the unaffected breast to achieve balance.
The goal is to achieve optimal cancer control and aesthetic results, empowering patients to feel confident in their recovery journey. Your treatment plan will be personalized to suit your needs and will be discussed in detail during your consultation with Specialist Breast Surgeon Dr. Michael Yunaev.
