Breast Lift With Implants (Mastopexy/Augmentation Mammaplasty) Sydney

Breast implants paired with a breast lift can restore or enhance the shape, size and position of your breasts after significant body changes, or if you are unhappy with the appearance of your natural breasts. For patients considering breast implants in Sydney, this combined procedure is one of the most requested ways to address both sagging and lost volume in a single operation.

Quick Self-Check: Is a Lift With Implants Right for You?

Not every patient researching a Sydney breast enlargement needs a lift. Before you read further, use this quick check to see which path fits your goals.

A breast lift with implants is likely the right fit if:

  • Your nipples sit at or below the breast crease
  • Your breasts have visibly dropped or lost their original shape since pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight change
  • You want both repositioning and added fullness (a lift alone won’t restore volume, and implants alone won’t correct significant sagging)

Breast implants alone (no lift) may be a better fit if:

  • Your nipples still sit above the breast crease
  • Your skin retains good elasticity, with only mild or no sagging
  • You’re mainly after more size and projection, not repositioning

If you fall into the second group, standard breast implant surgery without a lift is usually simpler, with a shorter recovery and less scarring. If sagging is your main concern and you don’t need added volume, a surgical breast lift alone might suit you better.

Are You a Suitable Candidate for a Lift With Breast Implants?

Choosing Your Implant: Type, Profile and Texture

Whether you’re after a full breast enlargement in Sydney with a lift, or breast implants on their own, the implant itself plays a major role in your final result.

Fill Type

Silicone gel-filled implants are the most commonly chosen, prized for a natural feel and consistent shape, even if the shell is compromised. Saline implants are filled with sterile saltwater at the time of surgery, allowing a smaller incision, though they can feel firmer and are more prone to visible rippling in patients with less natural tissue coverage.

Read our full breakdown of saline vs silicone implants to understand which suits your anatomy.

Profile

Profile refers to how far the implant projects from the chest wall relative to its base width. Low-profile implants create a subtler, wider spread; high-profile implants sit narrower and project further forward, often suiting patients with a smaller chest frame who want more central fullness.

See our guide to implant profiles explained for a full comparison.

Shape

Round implants add fullness across the whole breast, including the upper pole, which is often preferred in combination lift-and-implant surgery. Teardrop (anatomical) implants taper toward the top, mimicking a more natural slope, and are sometimes chosen for patients wanting a subtler outcome.

Surface Texture

Smooth implants move more freely within the pocket and tend to feel softer, while textured implants are designed to reduce rotation and were historically used to lower capsular contracture risk, though texture selection has evolved in recent years.

Our guide to smooth vs. textured implants covers the current evidence and Dr Yunaev’s advice to patients.
