Breast cancer can spread to the lymph nodes under the arm (axilla). If this happens, treatment may include surgery to remove them. This procedure is called axillary clearance, or axillary lymph node dissection (ALND).

At the BB Clinic in Sydney, the procedure is performed by Dr Michael Yunaev, a Specialist Breast and General Surgeon. Each patient’s case is carefully reviewed by our multidisciplinary team to ensure the treatment plan is safe, appropriate, and tailored to individual needs.
